MEMBERSHIP CLASSIFICATIONS
Professional Membership
If you primarily provide acupressure, alternative therapies, aromatherapy, homeopath coaching, massage therapy, naturopath coaching, nutrition coaching, reflexology, shiatsu or spiritual healer services in your professional health care business, you may become a Professional Member of TNTANA:
Acupressure is defined as any technique of applying pressure to specific points on the body that is not otherwise defined as massage therapy. Certification in acupressure or massage by an accredited certification board is required to obtain full insurance benefits for acupressure services.
Alternative Therapies are defined to include, but are not limited to, applied kinesiology, cold laser therapy, color therapy, cranial sacral therapy, crystal therapy, kinesthetic therapy, light therapy, oil drop technique, pain management, passive sound therapy, spiritual healing and stress management.
Aromatherapy is defined as using essential plant oils. Certification in aromatherapy or the use of essential oils by an accredited certification board is required to obtain full insurance benefits for aromatherapy services.
Homeopath Coaching may include any services listed on this page or included in the homeopathic scope of practice defined by the homeopath's certification or license. A license or certification in homeopathy is required to obtain full benefits as a homeopath. Medical homeopathy services are not covered.
Massage Therapy requires a license in some states and provinces. Otherwise you must be certified by a certification board approved by your jurisdiction. You may also provide other services listed on this page.
Naturopath Coaching may include any services listed on this page or included in the naturopathic scope of practice defined by the naturopath's certification or license. A license or certification in naturopathy is required to obtain full benefits as a naturopath. Medical naturopathy services are not covered.
Nutritional Coaching services are covered if the nutritionist is licensed or certified by an accredited certification board. Nutritionists may also practice any other profession listed on this page. Dietician services and medical nutrition services are not covered.
Reflexology is any form of foot therapy not legally defined as massage, podiatry, chiropractic or medical therapy. Certification in a form of reflexology or massage by an accredited certification board is required to obtain full insurance benefits for reflexology services.
Shiatsu is an oriental form of foot therapy not legally defined as massage, podiatry, chiropractic or medical therapy. Certification in a form of shiatsu or massage by an accredited certification board is required to obtain full insurance benefits for shiatsu services.
Spiritual Healing using any techniques approved by the Federation of Spiritual Healer Licensing Boards (FSHLB). A Spiritual Healer License from one of the accepted or accredited boards of FSHLB is required to obtain full benefits as a spiritual healer.

If any form of biofeedback is your primary business, and you also provide acupressure, alternative therapies, aromatherapy, homeopath coaching, massage therapy, naturopath coaching, nutrition coaching, reflexology, shiatsu or spiritual healer services, you may join the Biofeedback Association of North America (BANA) as a Professional Member to obtain the broadest benefit coverage available.
BANA defines biofeedback as audio entrainment, A-V entrainment, bioenergetics, biofeedback, bioresonance, CES, HEG, kinesthetic entrainment, neurofeedback, neurotherapy, quantum biofeedback or visual entrainment services.
Associate Membership
The three classifications for Associate Members are intended for natural healthcare professionals who do not require professional and general liability insurance coverage and for people investigating these professions.
Associate members receive the benefits of membership listed by classification. Select the classification you desire.
Class 1 membership fees are $25 per year. Associate Members receive benefits 5-7 of Professional Membership which includes:

- Quarterly interactive telephone or webinar workshops
- All Optional Benefits of membership
Class 2 membership fees are $45 per year. Associate Members receive benefits 4-7 of Professional Membership which includes:
- Prepaid Mediation and Conflict Resolution Services Package
- TNTANA newsletters, blogs, podcasts and workshops
- Quarterly interactive telephone or webinar workshops
- All Optional Benefits of membership
