About the Natural Therapies Association of North America
The Natural Therapies Association of North America (TNTANA) is a nonprofit membership organization for
natural therapies professionals in Canada and the USA. The
membership fees pay for the coverage and web site packages provided by Stratus
coverage and the costs of the executive director and web master.
Executive services are provided under contract with IPX Executive Services, Inc. The executive director, treasurer and
web master are subject to supervision by the executive board elected by the
membership.
The elected officers of the Association are:
- President - the Chief Executive Officer of the Association
- President Elect - the Chairperson of the Workshops Committee
- Vice President, Chairperson of the Grievance Committee
The non-voting, ex-officio members of the board of directors of the association are the executive director, treasurer and web master. These officers serve at the pleasure of the executive board.
The President Elect and Vice President are to be elected during the month of December each year and take office January 1st of the following year. Once elected, the President Elect automatically ascends to the presidency when that position is vacated. Vice Presidents may succeed themselves as often as elected. The Executive Director and Web Master serve at the pleasure of the Executive Board.
The standing committees of the association are:
- Grievance committee - settles disputes between
members and the association (This committee is chaired by the Vice President)
- Ethics committee - settles disputes regarding professional conduct of members
- Workshops committee - determines which proposed workshops will be accepted and assigns a date and time for each workshop (This committee is chaired by the President Elect)
The executive board may constitute any other committees at any time to provide such services as the executive board shall determine. The founding officers of TNTANA are the current officers of BANA until elections are held during December, 2008.
